Vince Staples Names His Best Rapper Alive

by HHL Editors

The always entertaining Vince Staples was on The Cruz Show today.

During the chat, he was asked who the best rapper is, with Cruz throwing out Eminem as his pick.

Staples objected, citing Shady being in a slump, and using a GOAT basketball analogy.

"We could say Michael Jordan, but he's not beating Lebron one on one," Staples said. "If we're talking about right now, it's Kendrick [Lamar], easy, not even close."
Cruz countered that Kendrick is great now (and so is Drake and Kanye) but Eminem is the best ever.

Staples wasn't feeling that either, arguing that sales don't matter and Kanye is better than Shady because 'Ye had more influence on pop culture and more effect on individuals.  (Seemingly forgetting about where the word "Stan" comes from.)

The Long Beach rapper then named his top three of all time: Kanye West followed by Jay Z and then Snoop Dogg.

It's an interesting discussion which starts at about the 24:30 mark.
