Vince Staples And N.O.R.E Go At It Over '90s Hip Hop

By HHL Editors

In a video interview with Time Magazine which ran yesterday, Vince Staples shaded 90's Hip Hop.

"The '90s get a lot of credit—I don't really know why," said the Long Beach emcee. “Biggie and 2 Pac, those are the staples of the ’90s, I think that’s why they get the golden era credit ... The first song I remember listening to is Lil Bow Wow’s 'Bounce with Me.'" he continued. "Lil Bow Wow is one of my favorite rappers ever, you can never take that from me."
N.O.R.E, who was big in the 90s -- but was neither Biggie nor Tupac -- took exception to Staples' words.  Suddenly, Twitter fingers were flying.

Tyler, The Creator also jumped in with a shot at the 90s
