Remember Verzuz?

It was quite the sensation during the early part of COVID.

However, things started to go south when Swizz Beatz and Timbaland took the streaming competition to Triller in 2021. Legal issues ensued, and there haven't been any Verzuzs since 2022.

Today, Swizz and Timba announced that they have signed a deal with Elon Musk's X [Twitter] to distribute Verzuz.

The Swizz and Timba retained 100 percent ownership of their baby while X got all the distribution rights.

“Not only are we excited to have Verzuz on X, we’re excited to help X build the biggest entertainment company in the world,” Swizz said in a statement. “We can’t wait to get back to work.”

Are you hype, or has Verzuz run its course?

Some folks aren't happy they announced the deal on Juneteenth.
