Hip-Hop has made history...
On Thursday, July 29, The United States Senate passed a resolution recognizing August 11 as national Hip Hop Celebration Day in the United States.
On top of the day, S.Res.331 officially designates August 2021 as Hip Hop Celebration Month and November 2021 as Hip Hop History Month.
In the past, the Senate has recognized individual artists, but this is the first time they have recognized Hip-Hop as a whole.
By unanimous consent, the Senate passed S.Res.331 (A resolution designating August 11, 2021, as ‘‘Hip Hop Celebration Day’’, designating August 2021 as ‘‘Hip Hop Recognition Month’’, and designating November 2021 as ‘‘Hip Hop History Month’’)
