Tyler, The Creator Thanks Westside Gunn For Making Him Rap Again [VIDEO]

Tyler, The Creator dropped his new album Call Me If You Get Lost on Friday, June 25, a project that finds the former Odd Future leader rapping again.

In 2014, Tyler told the late Larry King that he hated rapping and no longer wanted to be considered a rapper. But in a recent Instagram Live session, he expressed an excitement to spit again and thanked one particular Griselda artist.

“Shoutout rap music, I love it,” said Tyler. “DJ Drama, I love you. What you did for rap,  phenomenal. From all the Waynes, all the Dedications, from P the In My Mind Prequel mixtape, to Clipse for the We Got It For Cheaps, from Lupe mixtape run all the Farenheits, the Revenge of the Nerds, to JAY-Z, to Andre (3000) … to Westside Gunn for making me wanna just rap again. I love it. I love rap. It changed n****s lives.”

Are you surprised to learn that Tyler fell back in love with rap music?
