Tyler, the Creator Petition Started To Lift Rapper's Ban In the U.K.

by Daryl Nelson

Someone created a petition with the hopes of Tyler, The Creator being let back into the United Kingdom.

The former Odd Future leader has been banned from the country since 2015 beecause some of his older lyrics were considered too raunchy.

The petition was started by a guy named Sam Roberts, who's trying to get 10,000 signatures. If the petition gets 100,000 the matter will be brought up in Parliament. As of now, the number has reached 1,865.

"Tyler The Creator was banned from the UK for controversial lyrics off his debut album Goblin in 2011," the petition reads. "The content was clearly intended as adult humour, hasn't incited violence, and the artist has shown overwhelming growth since the record's release. As such, this ban feels petty and should be lifted."

Do you think the petition will work?
