Tyler, The Creator Says 'Shady XV' Is So Bad That Eminem Needs Intervention

Tyler, The Creator is a huge Eminem fan. Which makes sense, considering the Odd Future leader's provocative persona. But he's not a big fan of Em's Shady XV compilation album, which dropped this week. In fact, Tyler thought the effort was so bad that somebody needs to grab hold of Eminem and tell him to be more careful about what kind of material he puts out.

Tyler tweet

Eminem clearly respects Tyler.  In 2011, he said that he "loves" Odd Future for "pushing boundaries and buttons," and complimented them on their rhyming. Then, this year, Tyler and Odd Future opened for Eminem during his London shows. So maybe Em will take Tyler's tweet to heart.

So far, Shady XV is projected to sell about 150,000 in its first week.  Strong numbers considering the brutal environment for Hip Hop albums this year. Nevertheless, Tyler is just the latest in an increasing chorus of generally Em-friendly critics who have said the album is weak.

Have you heard it? If so, what do you think? Does Eminem need a loving intervention so he doesn't sully his brand?
