Tyga Just Invested $5 Million In Gold Rolling Papers

by HHL Editors

Cue the jokes about Tyga smoking away his fortune.

Today it was announced that the newly independent rapper has made a $5 million investment in Shine Papers, which are rolling papers made from gold. In addition to owning a big chunk of the company, T-Raww was also named its creative director.

"Why burn regular paper when you can burn 24-karat gold?" Tyga said in a statement that we do not necessarily agree with.

Tyga went on to describe the $4.60-per-single-leaf papers as a "premium experience," comparing it to expensive bottle service.

Miley Cyrus is a fan of the precious metal rolling papers, for what it is worth. A company rep, who just goes by Dave B, said Tyga gives his brand "an unparalleled platform."

Like many products used for smoking marijuana, Shine contends its papers are for tobacco use.

Are you buying that Tyga has 5 million bucks he can invest in fancy rolling papers? Or does this sound like a weird and possibly misguided publicity stunt?
