Tyga Announces Date For 'The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty'

by HHL Editors

We were joking yesterday that Tyga has been getting in the news for everything but his music. The Young Money rapper is ready to change that, and early this morning he tweeted out the date for his fourth studio album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.

That would December 23, just in time for Christmas. Previously, The Gold Album had been scheduled for November 18, but that date was pushed back, with T-Raww briefly claiming Young Money was holding the album hostage.

We've already heard four singles from 18th Dynasty. 'Wait A Minute,' featuring Justin Bieber, 'Hookah', with Young Thug, 'Real Deal' and '40 Mill.' Kanye West, who produced 40 Mill, is also executive producing the album.

Tyga has said the new album will be "way less commercial" than his 2013 effort Hotel California, which debuted seven on the album charts. "This album is straight rap," he told Power 106.

Is it the kind of "straight rap" you see yourself pumping?
