Trey Songz stopped by The Breakfast Club today (March 24) and talked about the shot he received from Nicki Minaj last month. It was a little after Remy Ma dropped 'shETHER', which alleged that Nicki and Songz slept together.
Nicki blasted Songz for not denying the sex rumor, and claimed that she was responsible for getting him "6 million plaques."
During his Breakfast Club interview this morning, Trey said Nicki's claims weren't true at all, and he seemed pretty annoyed.
"Nicki said she gave me six plaques, but let's keep it real, Nicki never had shit before "Bottoms Up," he said. "After that, she did "Monster" and then [blew up]. All before that it was you hanging with Wayne, the wild girl with the wild hair. I love you Nicki ... But you came at me wrong and disrespected me but I love you."Trey also said the Young Money spitter should have gotten at Remy and not him.
"You gonna be petty, I'm gonna be petty too," he said. "What you talking about? You ain't say nothing to Remy. It took you a week to say something to Remy."During the interview, Songz also discussed his relationship with Drake.
He explains the two were once very close, and that a young Drake almost signed with him.
But eventually "personal issues" got between them, and that's why you haven't heard Drake/Trey tracks lately.
He added the issues weren't that serious, and the two recently reunited in Europe.
