Trey Songz was among the acts at the fourth annual Big Show at the Joe concert at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit last night.
He was told during his set that he had gone over his allotted time. First he tried to use his soothing voice to convince the organizers to give him more time.
"Don't cut me off," Songz sang.But that didn't work, and they did cut him off. So Songz went nuts.
Detroit police officers entered the stage to calm the situation. Apparently a police sergeant was struck by a microphone thrown by Songz, and suffered a concussion. The sergeant was hospitalized and released.
Songz was arrested for malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest. He is being held at the Detroit Detention Center.
