Travis Scott Nearly Single-Handedly Saved McDonald's From Pandemic with Partnership

by Daryl Nelson

McDonald's was hurting financially after the pandemic hit, but not so much anymore thanks to Travis Scott.

The Astroworld rapper teamed with the fast-food chain earlier this year and was given his own meal. One of his visits to a McDonald's in Downey, California caused straight pandemonium, which showed just how popular his meal became.

The Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. McDonald's had a 4.6% bump in sales between July and September compared to last year at this time because of Mr. Scott.

That increase came after the burger company dropped sales by 8.7% from the previous quarter compared to this time last year. Mainly, because they closed their dining areas.

Are you surprised that Travis had such an impact on McDonald's sales numbers?
