Tory Lanez suffered two collapsed lungs after being stabbed 14 times in a prison yard attack last week.
The 32-year-old will recover from his injuries in a new prison.
Yesterday, Tory was transferred to California Men’s Colony (CMC) near San Luis Obispo, which is about three hours from the California Correctional Institution where he was previously housed.
While Tory's recovery is going well, he isn't happy about the move.
His lawyer says he'd been making friends at CCI and would have preferred to serve out his ten-year sentence there.
However, prison officials have deemed it unsafe for the rapper.
