Tory Lanez Placed Under House Arrest For Beating On August Alsina

Today, the judge in Tory Lanez's criminal case for shooting Megan Thee Stallion placed him under house arrest for punching August Alsina last month in Chicago.

Prosecutors had asked Judge David Herriford to revoke Tory's bail and take him immediately into custody for suckering punching August.  However, Herriford decided on house arrest.  Tory will have until Friday to report.

Tory's lawyer pushed back on the ruling, arguing that Tory's attack on Alsina is merely an "allegation" since no charges were filed.

"I'm not really sure that there's anything this court should do given the unproven allegations," she told the judge.

Tory will remain under house arrest until his trial for shooting Meg.  He is facing one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, along with allegations that he personally used a firearm and inflicted great bodily injury.

The trial is set for November 28.
