Violence involving rappers is on the rise, and it's not just the ones in the United States...
Toronto rapper Hassan Ali, a.k.a. Top5, is a wanted man and is on the run after having his charges upgraded to first-degree murder in connection to a January 31, 2021 shooting, according to cbc.ca.
Hashim Omar Hashi., a 20-year-old male, was shot multiple times entering a North York parking garage the night of January 31 and died at the scene.
Top5 was one of two men arrested in connection to Hashi’s death but was only charged for accessory after the fact to murder, two counts of failing to comply with probation, and multiple drug-related charges.
He was released on bond in May and now Toronto police are trying to track him down with the new charges.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
