We learned earlier this week that 53-year old Too Short welcomed a daughter named Yani Shaw in December with his girlfriend Sue. He explained why he waited until such an old age to have a child.
"I can tell you why I didn't have kids before now is because I didn't want to be a father at the wrong time," he said on TMZ. "I knew who I was. I knew what I was doing. I was just enjoying my celebrity-hood. I've seen a lot of people struggle with their personal lives and their celebrity life. Doing the job, the travel, the hours in the studio and stuff, and I had my fun. Now it's time to pass it on."
