Tom Hanks' Son, A Rapper, Defends Use Of 'Nigga'

by HHL Editors

Tom Hanks' son is a rapper named Chet Haze. Haze gets a little bit of attention because he's Tom Hanks' son and a rapper, which folks think is goofy. Thus, most of the attention is negative, and Chet raged against the haters in an Instagram post earlier this week.

"2 types of people in this world: those who know exactly what it is they want and are doing everything they can to get it; and those who just wander aimlessly through life because they are scared to death of failure. I've lost a lot of so called friends cuz they turned out to be the second kind. Fuck yall hating ass niggaz I'll never stop chasing my dream," he writes.
The word "Niggaz" here is controversial, because Chet is obviously a very privileged white person. It was also discovered that he recently wrote "Check out the song me and my nigga @chillthatdude just dropped on my Soundcloud" on another Instagram post. Haze addressed the controversy today in an Instagram video, and he isn't backing down from his language.

What do you think? If you're wondering if this guy has any skills, here's a video we pulled up from YouTube.
