TLC's Chilli Reacts To Usher's Confessing To How Badly She Hurt Him

Usher's been all over the place lately. 

A Super Bowl Halftime show and a new album will do that.

During a chat with PEOPLE, the 45-year-old discussed having his heart broken by TLC's Chili, whom he dated around 20 years ago.

“I wanted to marry her. I proposed and she told me no,” he recalled. “I went through a great deal of pain after that, not trusting women or wanting to open up.”

When asked for a comment, Chilli's team said she was "unbothered by the recent hoopla involving her past relationship."

Chilli has been dating former Boy Meets World star Matthew Lawrence.

Usher just married his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea.
