T.I. Helps Bail Out Non-Violent Offenders For Easter

A partnership between T.I., the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and VH1's Love and Hip Hop personality Scrapp Deleon has resulted in 23 non-violent offenders getting bailed out for Easter.

The Church initially hoped to raise 40K (for the 40 days of lent) to post bails. But with the help of folks like T.I. they got to 120K.

With that extra cash, the church was able to bail out seven women and 16 men -- mostly first-time offenders -- in time to share the holidays with their families.

"It's almost like finally meeting the good Samaritan—somebody who you don't know that you didn't see coming," New Birth's senior pastor Dr. Jamal Bryant said of the initiative
