Corey Walker is the one adult involved in the killing of Pop Smoke, who was snuffed out for jewelry and money in a Hollywood Hills home invasion.

He's locked up facing murder charges, but his family wants to speak to Pop's family.

Walker is being represented by Christopher Darden of OJ Simpson fame, and Darden was the one who reached out.

"The Walker family has asked me to contact the victim’s family so that they might speak privately. I hope to reach out to the family soon,"Darden told The Daily News.

Pop Smoke's mom, who's a teacher, responded in a statement.

"This is new information to me. I’ll have to learn more,” she said. “I’m working on a lesson plan right now. That is my focus. I really can’t say.”

According to Darden, Walker wasn't involved in the shooting.

"My client did not kill anyone. Nor did he conspire to commit murder," said Darden. "Corey was 18. He did not kill the victim. He did not enter the home. The agreement amongst the suspects according to the DA’s evidence was that no gun was to be fired. That is in the record."

A 15-year old is accused of being the triggerman, so to speak.
