The Original Version Of Lil Wayne's 'Carter V' Is Floating Around

by HHL JT

Lil Wayne started working on Carter V shortly after he dropped Carter IV in 2011.

The project was notoriously delayed due to legal and personal issues with Cash Money and finally dropped last September.

It was clear at the time that the 2018 version of Carter V was completely different than what Carter V which dropped in, say, 2014 would have been.

The so-called "original" version is now floating around the Internet, and you can find it at the places you find such things.

Most of the 20 original tracks have never been released, including a Big Sean-featured track and a Justin Bieber-featured one. Tracks that made the released album like the Kendrick Lamar featured "Mona Lisa" and "Open Safe" sound pretty different on the original.

Here's the 2018 version of Carter V.
