The NBA May Opt For Modified Season And Playoffs

by HHL JT

The NBA really wants to finish the Coronavirus interrupted 19-20 season

However, the league knows they won't be able to re-start until at least mid-June.

As such, they know they won't just be able to pick up where they left off earlier this month.

“Though news of the coronavirus pandemic has been discouraging, NBA executives still cling to hope of arranging a one-site, fan-less, 16-team playoff and a five-to-seven-game regular-season prelude," Multiple sources told The New York Post.

The playoff series would likely be best of three, and a single-elimination NCAA-style playoff tournament would only be considered as a last resort.

Ya Gotta Believe: One-site playoff tournament with miniscule regular-season prelim is most likely #NBA outcome. Vegas obvious destination but industry source says Hawaii, Atlantic City, Orlando, Louisville also discussed internally https://t.co/xr4ApNG84y
