The Game Issues Statement About Fighting His Teammate During Drew League Game

by Daryl Nelson

Late last night, The Game issued an apology on Instagram for fighting his own teammate at a Drew League basketball game yesterday. Then he deleted his apology.

"I'm writing this sincere apology first and foremost to my teammate and little brother @J_henn for my role in our disagreement that went a lot further than it should've," he wrote. "I acted out of character and although as brothers for the last seven years and one of my teammates, I definitely consider family, there are always heated moments on the court and in our locker room. But it should never get to where it got today so again, this is my apology, fam."

The Game also said he can't get the fight out of his head.

"I keep replaying the moment in my mind, wishing both just let our tempers pass as we usually do but today it got out of hand," he wrote. "Secondly, I apologize to the @drewleague commissioner Dino Smiley, as well as his daughter Chanel Smiley for how things spiraled out of control today, as you know my character as of late is far better than what was demonstrated today."

This isn't the first time Game's fought on the basketball court. He punched an off-duty cop during a rec league game a few years back and had to pay him 100K and do community service for his crime.
