Notorious drug dealer and muderer turned snitch Alpo Martinez was shot to death early Sunday morning as he sat in a Dodge Ram on West 147th Street near Frederick Douglass Boulevard in hometown of Harlem.
In 1990, Alpo confessed to 14 murders, including the killing of his boyhood friend Rich Porter. He got 35 years in exchange for helping the government. He was released into witness protection in 2015 but had been increasingly seen around Harlem.
There is some footage of his killing.
Alpo was hit five times and died on the way to the hospital. The vehicle he was in had paper plates from Texas. It's unclear if Alpo was still in the witness protection program when he was assassinated.
Alpo was 55.
