According to Hits Daily Double, Drake's Scorpion has moved 749,000 sales plus streaming in its first week, giving him the biggest opening of the year.

With that number, Drake will win 2018 -- unless Taylor Swift or Adele decides to surprise us with an album. It's also almost exactly ten times as much as Pusha T's Drake-baiting album Daytona did in its first week. That's the good news.

That not so good news is Scorpion is down significantly from the 1.04 million units Drake's 2016 album VIEWS moved in its first week. Scorpion's final first week numbers are also down from its initial projection of around 900K, suggesting that mixed word of mouth caused sales of Drake's fifth album to fall off as the week progressed.

Now that you've had seven days to digest Drake's double disc, what do you think?
