The Feds Just Cleared Out The Money from R Kelly's Commissary fund

by HHL JT

As part of R Kelly's 30-year sentence for racketeering and sex trafficking, he owes $140K in court-ordered fines.

Since the disgraced singer hasn't paid those fines yet, the Bureau of Prison just seized all but $500 of the $28,328.24 that had been in his prison commissary fund.

Kelly's lawyer Jennifer Bonjean ripped the Feds for acting unethically in taking Kells's money.

Could the gov. be more unethical? After seizing his funds and after sending this email, @EDNYnews decided to file a motion to confiscate his trust account money. You’re supposed to do that BEFORE you take the money. pic.twitter.com/1w3sSyiAY3

Kelly could try to get more money by singing to the other inmates' relatives.
