All Coronavirus quarantining experiences aren't the same.
Thailand's 67-year-old king Rama X has been holed up in a hotel in a German ski resort with his 20 concubines. And by holed up, we mean he booked the whole damn hotel.
While most German hotels have been shut down, X was granted "special permission" by the district to rent out the four-star lodge because the "guests are a single, homogenous group of people with no fluctuation". (And because of lots of €s, we would bet.) German officials did force 119 of the King's servants to return to Thailand under suspicion of Coronavirus.
It's unclear if any of the King's four wives are among his harem.
Needless to say, many folks in Thailand are unhappy with their King's decision to shelter in place so far away.
