Thailand's Government Is Engaging Dissidents Rappers In Full On Rap Battle

by HHL JT

Well, this is different.

Over in Thailand, a group of 12 dissident rappers attacked the island nation's military dictatorship with a well-circulated diss track titled "Prathet Ku Mee" or "Which Is My Country."

It took a couple of weeks, but the government has responded. And instead of sending the spitters to the dungeon, as would be expected from an oppressive regime, they embraced the spirit of rap beef and tried to fire back with the track "Thailand 4.0".

We don't understand Thai.  But judging from the way "Thailand 4.o" sounds and its YouTube comments, it ... wasn't good.

Full marks for the governmental effort, though
