Tha Carter V Isn't Coming Out Until Birdman Pays Weezy Back

by Alex Nicoll

Birdman spoke too soon when he promised The Carter V's release was imminent.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne said that Birdman was "full of shit" when he promised the long-delayed record.

Birdman recently went on Travis Scott and Chase B's Beats 1 show to speak about the album:

“It’s definitely coming out,” said Birdman about Tha Carter V. “The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward. Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what we been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing.”
While Stunna promised reconciliation, Wayne thinks he's just trying to "look like the nice guy." Wayne said the record isn't coming out until his $51 million dollar lawsuit is settled.

TMZ also reports that Birdman is meeting with Universal Music Group "to hammer a payment schedule that will make Wayne happy."

This is the latest in the saga between the former best friends. A lot has changed since the two were filmed kissing on the mouth in the midst of Wayne's classic run.

Let's hope that UMG can muster up the cash to get Tha Carter V out!
