Teyana Taylor Said Kanye's Five Album Rollout Plan Made Her Nervous

by Daryl Nelson

Teyana Taylor was nervous about her album K.T.S.E. being a part of Kanye West's five-album rollout.

"At first I didn't really know that it was going to be the five album thing until we had like our last meeting, and we were talking about the albums," she said on Ebro in The Morning. "Once he said his and everybody else, I was a little nervous at first 'cause I was like, 'Y'all niggas is legends.'  I wasn't trying to be in the middle of that. But then, you know, he was like 'Nah, it's going to be crazy, blah blah blah.'"

Teyana also learned other details about the release of her album at the last minute.

"I was kinda just going with the flow," she said  "At the same time, I just wanted music out. I didn't care how that shit had to happen. Whether it was a separate rollout, whether it was five albums. I didn't know like ahead of time that it wouldn't be any singles or visuals. I didn't know none of that. I knew it was going to be a five album thing, and they wanted mine to be last. He wanted mines to be the biggest."

Despite what Kanye wanted, K.T.S.E. only did 23K SPS in its first week. That's by far the least of the five albums, which were Pusha T's Daytona, Kanye's Ye, Kanye's joint project with Kid Cudi Kids See Ghosts, Nas's Nasir and Teyana's project.

Do you think Kanye messed up the release of K.T.S.E.?
