If everything goes according to plan, Tekashi 6ix9ine will be out before Christmas and ready to drop new music on his reported $10 million deal with 10K Projects.
How well that music sells will be closely watched and it doesn't look like 6ix9ine will get any favors from his hometown radio station Hot 97 on that front.
An executive from Hot 97 has told TMZ the station has no intention of playing the notorious snitch's new music or any of his music at all. Additionally, 6ix9ine has a "slim to none" chance of ever gracing the stage at the New York radio station's signature Summer Jam festival.
Hot 97's stance shouldn't be a big surprise. The station's number one personality and former Vice President Of Programming Ebro Darden has been feuding with 6ix9ine for years. Tekashi immortalized their beef in his track "Stoopid" with the line "That n*gga Ebro, he a b*tch/Just another old n*gga on a young n*gga dick."
However, there is a scenario in which 6ix9ine could force himself onto Hot 97's airwaves.
While HOT 97 is firmly against giving 6ix9ine any radio play in the future, there is one scenario where his new tunes could flood their airwaves ... the exec tells us Tekashi will get spins only if there's a massive outcry from the masses over a hugely successful song -- 'cause in the end, capitalism trumps all.
That would be a bitter pill for Ebro to swallow.
Update: Ebro denies any Hot 97 execs spoke to TMZ.
