Tekashi 6ix9ine's Record Label Loses Big Money After Music Video Shooting

by Daryl Nelson

Tekashi 6ix9ine's video getting shot up cost his record label almost a half million dollars.

A TMZ source says Universal Music Group spent $480,000 on the Beverly Hills shoot that was also supposed to include Nicki Minaj and Kanye West. But it was all lost when two gunmen came and lit the place up, which was caught on video. There's no plans to re-shoot the video right now, so the label is just taking the loss.

At this time, police are still looking for the gunman and there's still no confirmation if this is related to Tekashi's beef with YG and Slim 400. The Brooklyn rapper and Slim had a heated exchange at ComplexCon not too long ago, which started this new round of back-and-forth between 6ix9ine and YG, and had has now led to a financial loss for UMG.
