Tech N9ne Explains Why He's Not Signing Hopsin

When the whole Hopsin-Funk Volume break up went down earlier this year, many fans said that Hop should go over to Strange Music. It seemed like a perfect fit. Hopsin's sound is exactly what Strange boss Tech9 looks for in an artist, and the two have a bit of history as they've collaborated on a couple songs. But it looks like it isn't going to happen.

"I don’t wanna get in the middle of their feud by saying ‘Come on over here with us,’ because the first thing said about Hopsin or the first thing said about Funk Volume is gonna be on me," Tech9 explains to HHDX. "I love them all equally so I don’t want nothing to do with any of that shit."

The conversation also revealed that Strange Music executives were interested in bringing Jarren Benton over, but like Tech said he doesn't want to be in the middle. This could change in the future. But for the time being don't expect to see any of those former FV guys at Strange.
