Taylor Swift May Have Taken Sly Shot at Kanye West On "Folklore"

by HHL JT

Kanye West was going to drop his album Donda Friday.  He didn't, and there was some speculation Taylor Swift's late announcement for her album Folklore chased him off.

That was probably a good call.  Folklore is headed for the biggest opening of 2020 and the biggest since Swift's 2019 album Lover (Which was the biggest opening since her 2017 album Reputation.)

Taylor and Kanye have an interesting history, of course, and a lot of folks think Swift took a subtle shot at Ye on the "Folklore" track "Peace".

It all boils down to capitalization.

In peace Taylor Swift capitalized West and not east and no one can convince me that she isn’t calling Kanye a clown. Thank u for coming to my ted talk #Folkore pic.twitter.com/My9jkyjImm

As you can see, Taylor went out of her way to capitalize West in her lyrics video and attach it to the word "clown."

Is this worth a response?
