On Wednesday (Jan. 18), we reported that Taxstone would be released on $500,000 bail after being arrested in connection with the Irving Plaza shooting,
Now the judge has reversed that decision, and Taxstone will remain in jail.
An eyewitness has come forward to back up the prosecution's theory -- which is bolstered by DNA evidence -- that the podcast host fired the fatal shot that killed Troy Ave's bodyguard Ronald "Banger" McPhatter.
After getting this new witness information, U.S. Attorney Hagen Scotten argued Tax is a "danger to the community" and should remain behind bars.
Earlier this week the judge had said he was going to "take a chance" on Taxstone and allow bail so he could still see his lawyer and work on his podcast.
Tax's lawyer Kenneth J. Montgomery, however, suspected that the decision could be reversed. "He should be fine, barring the government appealing the decision by the judge," he said to RevoltTV before the bail was removed.
