Talib Kweli Explains Why Kanye West Is A 'Poser'

by Daryl Nelson

Talib Kweli threw a shot at Kanye West after the DONDA rapper dissed him during his now infamous Drink Champs interview.

During the sit down, Ye blasted Kweli for criticizing his support of Donald Trump and wearing a MAGA hat. Ye also clowned the Black Star member for wearing fitted baseball caps, suggesting they're no longer fashionable.

Kweli responded to that diss by sharing photos of Ye's ghostwriters.

Then in the second part of the interview that was released, Kanye said he was never really a backpack rapper and only pretended to be for success. Kweli responded to those comments on Instagram, while sharing a clip of the Drink Champs interview.

"poser (noun) - a person who pretends what he or she is not... an affected or insincere person," wrote Kweli. "Real question- since when did we celebrate posers in hiphop? I don’t even know whether to laugh or be offended anymore 😭."

Would you call Kanye a poser?
