T-Pain scored a hit right off the bat with  2005’s “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper)," which peaked at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart

But it turns out the singer was just fooling around when he made the song, and he had no intention of putting it out. That changed, however, after one of the members of OutKast convinced him to do otherwise.

“My homeboy was tryna save strippers in the club,” said T-Pain on a joint episode of his Nappy Boy Radio podcast and Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. “The song was a joke. I was literally making fun of him. We was just f*cking around in the studio and Big Boi said it was dope so I said, ‘Yep, it sure is, okay.’"

Are you surprised to hear the song was originally a joke?
