T-Pain Addresses Getting Kicked Off Post Malone's "Rockstar"

by HHL JT

Yesterday, we learned that the original version of the Post Malone featuring 21 Savage number one "Rockstar" featured Joey Bada$$ and T-Pain instead of 21.

In fact, Joey secretly co-wrote the track.

It was T-Pain who first revealed this information in response to the leaking of a "Rockstar" "remix" which was actually the original.

Some thought T-Pain was bitter about being booted from what turned out to be an enormous hit. But he jumped on Twitter today to explain that not only is he fine with Post's decision to sub 21 in for Bada$$ and him but that he completely agrees with the decision.

I see ppl tryin to make it look like I’m hatin on @PostMalone i fuckin love Posty and his music. I’m sure he didn’t even hear my version of rockstar. The label made a money move and won. I congratulate the shit out of Posty and @21savage for the #1 record. Feels good bro.

I guarantee that rockstar would not have gone number one with me on it. Shit was a smart move to put @21savage on it. They know that relevancy drives a hit regardless if you like the artist or not. Hate them as much as you want but where’s YOUR number 1 record?

T-Pain is a gracious man. Let's hope karma rewards him in 2018.
