T.I. Speaks On Nipsey Hussle's Legendary Status In Response to Wack 100

by Benny Franklin

T.I. is fresh out of hymen-gate, and he's wasting no time to get back in the mix of social media drama.

The Atlanta rapper isn't too happy with Westcoast O.G., Wack 100, and it's all over comments Wack made about the late-great, Nipsey Hussle.

According to Wack, Nipsey isn't a legend, and he bases it off of Nipsey never having any #1 hits, no radio play and more.

"If Dr. Dre were to die right now, we'd would say we lost a legend," Wack told TMZ yesterday. "Based upon numbers. Body of work. How many albums did Nipsey drop. One album. This is not no personal sh*t I'm talking about.  This just is real sh*t. The man died with a million followers. No radio hits. No platinum hits. No world tour.

After he died, he went platinum and sold a bunch of records. Followers went up to 9, 10 million. First of all, we gotta define what a legend is and what a legend ain't. Was he on his way? I think in time he would have been. But at the time of his demise ... let's keep it real. The truth can never be defined as disrespect. If it is, that means you lying to your MFing self. That's like somebody saying 'Wack, you a little short MFer' and I get mad. It's the truth."

Well. T.I. couldn't stay out of the debate, and he hit Instagram tonight to remind everyone what the definition of a legend is.

This sh*t say Nipsey all over it...
Record sales and #1 hits ain’t the only barometer for legendary status. IMPACT is what’s important. Although his notoriety DID grow exponentially more after his demise... his impact is undeniable. #HadToBeSaid
