It's safe to say most of the Hip Hop world agrees with J. Cole, who raps "This year I’ll prolly go to the awards dappered down/Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile," on his new song 'Fire Squad.'
Cole actually wrote those lyrics well before Iggy snagged her four Grammy nominations, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, Best New Artist, and Record of the Year for 'Fancy,' and became the odds on favorite in the rap categories.
And it's really the inevitability of the Australian imports big showing in the Grammy nominations that has everybody shaking their heads.
T.I., her mentor, obviously has another take.
"Congratulations to Iggy for those four Grammy nominations," he told the L.A. Leakers. "I appreciate being a part of—Just being able to contribute. I know she works extremely hard. She works extremely hard and she has an incredible vision for what it is that she wants to see herself. We all proud of her. Regardless of whatever anybody else got to say. We proud of her."There have long been rumors that T.I ghost wrote part of Iggy's album The New Classic.
