Suge Knight Put Up Death Row So Snoop Dogg Could Beat Murder Charge

by HHL JT

Suge Knight just did a long interview from prison with  Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267 and The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.  In it, he revealed he took a $5 million loan from Jimmy Iovine against Death Row so Snoop Dogg could beat his murder case.  He did this even though everyone said Snoop was a dead duck.  [Jump to 30 minutes.]

"I took my company.  I said I tell you what.  Give me $5 million right now.  I got to put it up for Snoop's murder.  They said, 'you know he's probably going to lose, and you're going to lose your company.  I said, 'it's worth Snoop's life.'  I was the one that brought in [Snoop's lawyer] David Kenner.  I was the one who brought in Johnnie Cochran," Suge said.

Suge added that Iovine reluctantly did the deal because he was so sure Snoop would be found guilty.  However, Suge believed the facts of the case would exonerate Snoop.

Suge was right, and Snoop's next album more than paid back the loan.
