We haven't heard about Suge Knight in a minute.

The former Death Row boss has been in jail for about a year, awaiting charges of murder stemming from an incident in which he ran two men over outside of a LA burger joint.

Things must not be going well with his defense, because the AP reports Suge just fired his fifth lawyer.

While he will able to communicate with his new attorney, that's going to be it.

The wire service also reports that last week Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William C. Ryan approved a sheriff's office request to restrict Knight's access to any phone calls, emails and visits besides those to and from his legal team.

There was no reason given for why Knight has been stripped of those privileges.

The 50-year old is being held on a $10 million bond.
