Suge Knight And Katt Williams Arrested For Robbery

Suge Knight and Katt Williams together ... what could possibly go wrong?

The notoriously violent Death Row Records founder and the notoriously volatile comedian were arrested for robbery yesterday after a celebrity photographer accused the two men of stealing her camera on September 5.

Williams, who has a long history of erratic behavior, was taken into custody in a LA courtroom where he was appearing at his arraignment for a separate assault charge. He would face up to seven years if convicted on the robbery.

The charge ends up being even more serious for Knight, who was arrested in Las Vegas. Since Knight has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon he faces up to 30 years in jail on the robbery charge.

Less than two weeks before the alleged incident, Knight was shot at the West Hollywood record release party for Chris Brown's X.

According to Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin, Knight and Williams spotted the celebrity photographer after they walked out of a studio. Then they chased her down an alley and took her camera. She sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Police had been building the case for weeks, but it wasn't until yesterday they felt they had enough evidence to file charges.

So far no comment from either Knight or Williams' camps.

Update 12:38 PM: Williams claims he and Knight were protecting a five year old from an unethical photographer who was taking the unaccompanied child's photo without permission. Oddly, neither Williams nor Knight knew the kid before; they apparently stumbled onto the scene. Do you believe Williams?
