'Straight Outta Compton' 'Sequel' Featuring Tupac & The Dogg Pound Planned

By HHL Editors

Hollywood is notorious for striking (and striking and striking) when the iron is hot.

So it's no big surprised that a "sequel" is being planned for 'Straight Outta Compton,' which has dominated the box office since its release.

According to TMZ, Dogg Pound 4 Life will take up where Compton leaves off and will portray the rise of West Coast rappers like Tupac, Snoop Dogg and the Dogg Pound. Suge Knight and Death Row will also be featured in the film, which will focus on the music, but not avoid the gang violence of the era.

We're putting "sequel" in quotes becomes it's unclear how many of the folks involved in the original movie will be involved in the follow up. It won't feature the same actors as 'Compton', and Dr. Dre and Ice Cube won't be producing.

Do you think Dogg Pound 4 Life will be a hit? We're a bit skeptical, especially with the high bar Compton set
