"Keep Bronny's name out of your mouth," he said.
Smith has suggested that Bronny is only on the Lakers because of his dad.
Smith addressed the stand-off on First Take.
"It was all about his son," Smith said of the confrontation, acknowledging he and James don't get along in general. "It was like he saying, keep that between me and you. Almost as if he was think was that anything he said about Bronny was about him. And in that situation I really wasn't talking about Bronny I was talking about him and the position Bronny was I'm. I really understood where he was coming from. I was very upset, he could tell. He could have called me."
Smith said he gets why Lebron was angry father, and he's not insulted or offended.
But he's not apologizing.
"I was raised as a journalist," he said. "I get paid to call it like I see it. I stand by what I said."
