Steph Curry Responds To Claim That He Ruined Basketball

by Daryl Nelson

There's a strain of thought that argues Steph Curry ruined basketball.

Many consider Steph to be the best three-point shooter in NBA history, although he often takes shots that would normally be considered bad.

Yes, it's true that he makes most of them, but he's influenced others to take similar shots, instead of going with attempts that are considered high percentage.

Steph addressed that, arguing that it's not his fault that a lot of people are taking bad shots, and he's tired of being blamed for it.

"I’m gonna use this moment to get on my soapbox," he said on the Knuckleheads podcast. "Stop tagging me in all these horrible basketball clips of people taking bad shots telling me I ruined the game. I did not tell y’all to shoot that shot. I did not say, 'Shoot that shot.'"

Would you say that Steph ruined basketball or made it better?
