Somebody Finally Admitted To Writing 'Fancy' For Iggy Azalea

by HHL Editors

It's been long rumored that Iggy Azalea didn't write the bars for her 2014 mega-hit 'Fancy,' which made the Australian import into everybody's favorite punching bag.

While her mentor TI is the usual ghostwriter suspect, industry whispers have long focused on Ingleworld emcee Skeme.

Skeme was part of Sway's SXSW Takeover panel, and Sway was able to get him to admit he was behind 'Fancy.'

It took a lot of prodding, with Sway first asking Skeme if he happened to ghostwrite a track by a female artist with a female singer in the hook ... and if that artist was from overseas. Finally, after a lot of uncomfortable laughter, Skeme copped to the deed.

”We had something to do with it," Skeme said. Then he confirmed it was a lucrative ghost writing job: "We put trust funds up for that song."
