Snoop Dogg Explains Why Rappers Go After Eminem

by HHL JT

Rappers like Machine Gun Kelly, Benzino, Nick Cannon, and now The Game like to have Eminem's name in their mouth.

It's a bold strategy, given Em's combat history and fervent fan base.

During his stop on the Full Send Podcast Snoop Dogg was asked why rappers still take shots at Shady. [Jump to 9 minutes.]

"When people take shots at rappers like that it's because that rapper is invisible for the moment.  But that's a way to get him back visible when you start poking the bear.  He still is who he is.  Don't get it f*cked up."

Snoop added that sometimes lesser rappers will do the same to him, but he doesn't mind if they try.

"You poke the bear with your nails you get your nails broke," Snoop said.

Snoop and Eminem have their own up and down history, and in 2020 Snoop said some harsh things about Shady's standing both in the streets and in rap's pantheon.

However, Snoop cleared that all up last year on The Breakfast Club.

“Man, I love Eminem and the thing is, we love Hip Hop so much. We competitive, we battle rappers so that was supposed to trigger that in him. But we brothers and we family so we learn to appreciate each other for what we do and we had our own little conversation about the respect we have for each other and the way we need to talk in public about each other. I feel like I was out of pocket. I apologized to him and I let him know, and I’m just bettering myself. I make mistakes, I ain’t perfect. I’m Snoop Dogg."
