Snoop Dogg Explains How Gucci & Louis Vuitton Stole His Crip Fashion Idea

Snoop Dogg dropped by The Pivot Podcast this week and said Gucci and Louis Vuitton stole his idea for his clothing line back in the day.

"I had a clothing line called Snoop Dogg clothing in the early ‘90s," he explained. "Naturally, I put some Crippin’ on mines with the rag … First thing they said was, ‘This is gang related. It’ll never be at Macy’s, they’ll never take it at these big stores.'"

"They said you should kill that idea and come with something else," Snoop went on. "So basically, they shut my clothing line down. Three years later Gucci,  Louis Vuitton, all these motherf*ckers got my paisley print on they sh*t. And I’m sitting back like [OK] that’s how they work.”

But Snoop has returned to retail since then by opening his store ‘Tha Dogg House" in Inglewood, California, which sells his memorabilia.

The store was vandalized by neighborhood Bloods earlier this month, though.

Any reaction to Snoop's story about Gucci and Louis Vuitton?
