by Daryl Nelson

Slim 400 spoke out for the first time since being shot a bunch of times in Compton last month, admitting he thought it was all over.

"As the shots was going off I'm trying to run, but after so long I dropped, and I'm steady trying to crawl," said Slim, who revealed that he lost hearing in one ear because of the shooting. "One of my folks come try to pull me in, they still shooting. I'm like 'Man, it's over.' I was about to give up right then and there. But my folks came out and helped me."

Slim also explained why he mocked his shooters by saying they didn't kill him by purchasing Walmart bullets.

"I do that for the fans," he explained. "Just to keep them alive and motivated to the point where [they say] Slim ain't changed."

Slim said he's now going to bulk up on security, try to "stay out the way" but keep living his life normally.
